cover art with windmill and tortured figures poor belabored beast

My second book of poetry. These were written in 2015. The themes expand into interests I felt cowed about at first . . . but I have well decided that attitudes about poetry can’t influence my choices in my work. Thus, I go big on rhyme when I like, I go all the way into mysticism and augury when I want.

The new look at the end of a lengthy war
A smattering of seed pearls falls from the bodice
like a cloudburst
And artfully torn are the missing parts
From the overlay of netting
Enter a plea, you have been shattered by the glass door

(from “Largo”)
