Sunday, A Figure from the Common Lot‘s Chapter Three, “Peas in a Pod”, came to its conclusion, as morning arrived and Richard brought his memories back to the present dilemma; Monday, “The Cook” (part one), a Fairy Realm poem that appears in Mystery Plays. Tuesday, the pentultimate “Are You Adaptable”, in which Beloye forgets she’s wearing Stenner’s jacket; Wednesday, a new poem, “You’ve Lost Me”; Thursday, a new Assorted Opinions, weighing the question of how such sturdy hatreds can be sown in the minds of people who continue to like themselves; Thursday, also, the week’s installment of La Catastrophe de la Martinique, in which Hess describes the active crater and offers his own sketches. Friday, Yoharie returned, with Jeremiah Hibbler’s view of things, the arrival in the neighborhood of Todwillow, Hibbler’s worries about, and growing estrangement from, his daughters. On Wednesday and Saturday, the nineteenth and twentieth episodes of Hammersmith.
